Ingredients

First of all, what I really love about this product is the ingredients. It has minimal ingredients and has no fragrance. It is said to be more lightweight compared to the other Klairs Cleansing Oil. This product is recommended for those with combination and oily skin.

Helianthus Annuus(Sunflower) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil

Packaging

In my opinion, dear Klairs has its own uniqueness. I personally love brands that have one theme packaging for all their products. It will be so easy to recognize. This Cleansing Oil is available in a 150ml pump bottle. Not ideal for traveling but does not take up a lot of space on your counter.

Texture

The texture is lightweight, it doesn't feel greasy at all. The Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil has a nice slip that helps the oil glide around once it’s on the skin. It's not emulsified that much, but washes off easily, and leaves no residue at all.

Thoughts

I usually use one pump of oil as the first step in my skincare routine. It instantly breaks down light makeup and sunscreen. Because of the thinner consistency, you don’t get that oily feeling while using it. For waterproof mascara and eyeliner, it needs some time to come off. I honestly do not wear makeup daily, so I actually enjoy using this to remove my sunscreen or lip products only.

It leaves a very smooth and moisturizing without that filmy finish. It’s also very gentle. My skin didn’t get irritated while testing it. Sometimes it blurred my vision when I rub my eye area too much. Luckily it doesn't sting or burn, I only need to not rub my eye area that much.

I personally like Klairs' product design because of its minimalism. But unfortunately, there is leftover oil in their pump after I pumped it. Sometimes the leakage makes the bottle slippery.

Conclusion

Overall the cleaning performance is good, especially it helps maintain the skin moisture. My skin loves this cleansing oil so much! I highly recommend this product if you guys don't wear waterproof makeup daily. If you wear light makeup or sunscreen only, this cleansing oil is perfect for you! If you are someone who lives in humid weather and is uncomfortable with the richness of an oil, you would want to give this one a try!
