I’m so excited to share my review of this sunscreen because this is the first Korean sunscreen I’ve ever tried! This is from a new brand called Meta Foret (@metaforet_global).

This is such a unique sunscreen because the name is 12 PM Calming Sunscreen. 12 PM is the time when phytocide (cypress leaf extract) is released from the forest. The 12 PM skincare line expresses Meta Foret's goals to reach closer to skin healing. I love their concept!

Meta Foret also removed as much scent as possible except the natural fragrance, so it's good for sensitive skin. All the ingredients they used were also certified by EWG. This Meta Foret Sunscreen also contains 55,000 ppm of aloe vera extracts and Centella Extract to keep our skin soothing and moisturizing.

Packaging

Alright, first of all, I want to talk about the package I receive. They use paper wrap and almost no plastic inside. I know it's common for Korean brands to use environmental-friendly packaging. I personally love this movement because there are fewer beauty brands in my country that did this. Indonesian brands use plastic wraps because of the bad delivery service.

Back to the sunscreen packaging, it came in a white doff-colored tube in a box. It came in a squeezable tube so I can control how much sunscreen I wanted. Meta Foret put both English and Korean language for the product information. I find this so helpful since a lot of non-Korean also use this brand.

Texture

It is considered a hybrid sunscreen because this sunscreen contains both mineral and chemical UV protectors. The texture is like a light lotion in white color with natural sunscreen scent, just like they said on the product claim.

The spreadability is very good, it blends out pretty nicely. It's kinda greasy at the beginning of the application. It takes some time absorbed and gives a nice satin finish. Not tacky and feel comfortable to use daily.

Thoughts

This sunscreen is very moisturizing. I usually don't use a moisturizer during my morning routine. So when using this sunscreen I prefer a light serum or just a hydrating toner. It is also not sticky or balls up, so I enjoy using it. I personally didn't use makeup every day so I didn't test this with makeup on.

Unfortunately, it leaves my skin greasy after 3-4 hours of usage. Maybe a person with dry skin will love this sunscreen more. But I still love this sunscreen since I spend a lot of time at home now. I don't mind with the greasiness. I could wash off my face with water every time. 

It also stings when I cry, but it's totally fine even I'm sweating like crazy. This kinda weird but I don't find it's annoying for me personally. It makes me don't wanna cry while using sunscreen tho LOL

Even this is a hybrid sunscreen, I found that this sunscreen is still easy to remove. I only need to wipe it with cleansing toner before I reapply my sunscreen. Or cleansing water to double cleanse at night. But I still recommend an oil-based cleanser to make sure everything's clean.

Conclusion

So far I enjoyed using this sunscreen. What I love:

• minimum white cast
• very moisturizing
• made with great ingredients
• thoughtful concept and cute packaging

I almost didn't find it weakness except it stings a bit when your eyes are wet from the tears :')
